No patchwork today?

Nah … not today. I kept myself busy with engineering happiness for Automattic as well as having a great meeting with my good friend and best man Mark from Gunung An and The Onion Collective about his websites. I do have to admit that I’m a big fan of the Genesis Framework and as Mark’s thinking about redesigning the existing pages, I suggesting using the Genesis Framework.

JavaScript30 – Day 9.5

As a result of that, I decided to take a day off from the JavaScript30 challenge to reflect what I’ve learned so far. And while Germans use to say

Don’t delay what you can do today

my Aussie friends use to say

There’s always another day

(Just imagine the German and Aussie accents!)

Let the journey begin

A few weeks ago a friend asked me if I ever thought about working as Happiness Engineer at Automattic. My immediate reply was “I would love to, but I’m not good enough yet.”. However, he convinced me to give it a try. Now, a few weeks later, I’ve successfully passed my first and second assignment as well as my first and second interview. And … drum roll … Automattic offered me a trial position as Happiness Engineer starting on July 3, 2017.
